    Lobby Guard Visitor Management System
BCPS is now using the Lobby Guard visitor management system. This program grants badges to visitors, documents their stays at school, and checks identities against the sex offender registry. It requires a driver's license or other state issued ID to be scanned. Please be sure you bring this type of ID to school when visiting, volunteering, and picking up students.

This system requires a driver's license to be scanned for any student being checked out of school early.  If the student is driving, they will be required to scan their driver's license.  If the student is not driving, then the person picking them up must scan their license.  Please be reminded that if a student is riding with another student, both parents must send in a note to the attendance office. The student who is driving will be required to scan their license to check that student out.  If you have any questions about the Lobby Guard system, please feel free to contact Mrs. Ronda Crouch in the SRHS attendance office.

Policy JCD - School Zone Transfers
Bedford County School Board Policy JCD School Zone Transfers establishes guidelines for students to attend schools outside of their attendance zones. The policy sets a timeline for requesting permission to attend a school outside of the school zone in which a student resides. The window is from March 1 until July 1 immediately preceding the school year for which the zone transfer is requested.  Parents, who reside in Bedford County and are not school employees, can request zone transfers by completing the request form, which is located on our website: Transfer Form  and submitting the form electronically, by mail, or by fax.

Bedford County Public School employees requesting school zone transfers for their children should use a separate form that is also located on our website:

    "CLICK IT OR TICKET!”

Wearing seat belts is not only the law, but it saves lives! Did you know that the National Safety Council reports that more than 75,000 lives were saved over four years by simply clicking a seat belt?

For the remainder of the year, seat belt checks will be conducted by state and local police officers near our school.

Take a moment to “Click it!” It may save you a ticket, and, more importantly, it may save your life!

Policy JFCH-- Tobacco-Free School for Students & Visitors

On December 8, 2011, the Bedford County School Board updated Policy KGC, Tobacco Use on School Premises. The newly updated Tobacco Use on School Premises policy now prohibits adult visitors from using tobacco products on school property. We thank parents, community members, and all visitors for their observance of this policy as they attend school activities.
